Autocross Data Analysis

Post by cutaway »

When I let people drive my Noble at the July 5-6 autocross, I captured video and data in order to study the differences in our style.

I posted some of the video and analysis on YouTube. I learned many things from it. One of the cool things I noticed was the difference in how the Moran Brothers drive...

Jake drove the Noble more aggressively and was actually the fastest around the course,
but Mike drove the shortest distance and actually did the run the fastests.

Here are some links to the videos with the data... (Make sure you click on "watch in high quality" in you tube to see everything clearly)

Cool. I also read Mike's analysis on the Subaru forum. Pretty neat.

that traqmate setup is incredible. I was looking at their website the other day and looking at the manuals for it. Decent price too, if I save some money and sell off some stuff I could get the basic non-video setup for next year.

I run Traqmate on the track but have not bothered to run it for autoX. What is always surprising is how small the differences are between two experienced drivers.
