2003 Boxster

I have a friend who has an opportunity to buy a 2003 Boxster with the intention to flip.
He is a car guy but knows little about Porsche’s. He’s buying from a friend who wants out but he doesn’t want to make an enemy. This is his description of the car.

2003 approximately 60k.
It is a 5 speed, it is not the S model and it has the smaller engine. It is black with a charcoal interior. The top is in good condition but has a 1 inch slit in the side. Needs tires. The car over all is in very beautiful condition garage kept no rust. I listened to it run and it runs smooth, nice and quiet no smoke. It was a Texas car. Clean Texas title. He hasn't given me a price yet. He wants to sell it but the wife doesn't.

Any knowledge about IMS issues, major services due?
Any other known issues?
