Italian newspaper La Gazzetta Sportiva is reporting that USF1 has applied to the FIA for special dispensation to skip the early flyaway races in Bahrain, Australia, Malaysia and China and belatedly join the fray for the Spanish Grand Prix in Barcelona in early May.

On the flip side, USF1 has hired more managerial staff recently. Wonder when they'll get around to hiring, you know, drivers...

Among other things that "dont exist", Ross Brawn was quoted in saying that there will be no #1 driver will exist in the garage this season. He is saying that Nico Rosberg and 7-time World Champion Michael Schumacher are equals. Now, unlike The Loch Ness Monster, Santa, USF1 and other things that clearly do not exist, a #1 driver definitely exists in the Mercedes garage.

Ha, USF1 should hire Hulk Hogan as driver. Seems IFA/F1 is trying hard to compete with with professional wrestling for drama/showmanship anyways, maybe they should merge? Drivers wacking their crew chief with a folding chair when a lap is less than perfect.... good times!

Yea, he's been rumored to be linked to USF1 for a while. John and I first heard about him at the end of last auto-x season and we had fun sitting around and mocking USF1 for not sticking to their guns and using US citizens for their drivers like they said they would.

Lopez is a "pay driver", which means he bought his way into his seat, bringing sponsor money into the mix. Talk around town has him being the slowest on the grid by far. Honestly, I have no idea what USF1 is doing, they're even building their own gearbox... This is going to be a mockery of proportions unseen.

lol, yeah he will be filling in when Hogan is laundering his tights, assuming the US goes and takes over his native country so USF1 will not be liars & maintain a US driver as we all know that is sooooo important over trival things like placing, earning points, raising funds, etc.

My CEO just gave me a team shirt from Ferrari, that should make me overqualified to drive for USF1. Also, I would fulfill their citizen hype they originally proposed. I promise to pass on my employee discount on toasters to all CDC members.

Well, it is my CEO and he does know many of the teams so i gotta take it like a man, laugh. plus it is funny, a Ferrari team item for a merc-McL fan! I should iron on a big Brawn patch on the back!
