We are revising our policy regarding Snell M 2000 helmets. This should prove helpful to individuals with an autoX background who may have a Snell M 2000 (or newer) helmet.
On further review, Capital Driving Club and NERD Racing have decided that Snell M 2000 helmets (or newer) satisfy the minimum standards required for this type of event. An increasingly large number of HPDE Organizations are allowing Snell M 2000 (or newer) helmets so CDC and NERD Racing will allow this type of helmet for the April HPDE event. Our top recommendation continues to be a Snell SA 2000 helmet with it's higher standards for multiple impact protection and flame resistance but the Snell M 2000 helmet is sufficient for this type of event.

Perhaps they will take it back?
On the other hand, every reasonably experienced track driver (and ALL instructors and racers) will have Snell SA helmets so you are now in good company. My advice would be to keep the helmet and know that you have the highest standards for protecting your brain. Safety equipment is not the thing to cheap out on.

It is supposed to be here today.
I bought an Impact SS so I think I will be happy with it.
I agree 100% that safety is most important.

Flat black.
I bought the yellow visor to go with it for the sunny days.

Not sure if you are joking or not... yellow visor is good when it's dark or when it rains.
In late afternoon sessions when the sun is low, it's better to have a tinted/smoked visor to not get blinded. (VIR T3 and OakTree come to mind.)
